Internship
This page highlights my graphic design internship experience, where I worked on branding, print, and digital design projects in a real-world setting. Through this experience, I developed skills in layout design, visual identity, and creative problem-solving while working within project guidelines and deadlines. Even with a limited number of projects, each piece reflects my ability to apply design principles in a professional environment and adapt to real client needs.
This branding was created for Double Nickel Ridge, a local firewood business specializing in mixed hardwood bundles. The design centers on a bold, circular mark that echoes traditional product labeling while maintaining strong visibility and readability from a distance.
A limited black and white color palette reinforces a rugged, utilitarian feel, while the hand-drawn log illustration adds a sense of craftsmanship and authenticity. Typography is carefully structured to establish a clear hierarchy, highlighting the product type and quantity while supporting key business information.
The mark is designed to translate seamlessly across applications such as bundle labels, signage, and vehicle graphics.
This thank-you card was designed for a local EMS appreciation initiative, recognizing first responders for their service and dedication to the community. The design was inspired by the Barneveld EMS logo, using a bold, high-contrast layout to ensure clarity and impact. The Montfort EMS emblem serves as the central focal point, reinforced by a limited red, black, and white color palette that reflects the urgency and professionalism of emergency services. Distressed typography adds a subtle sense of grit and resilience. The final piece was created for print, with careful attention to legibility, hierarchy, and practical usability.
